Opportunity:

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our world-class team in China. As a Project Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead and successfully implement projects in a dynamic and ambitious environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately estimate project and task resource requirements.
  • Define and control project definition and scope.
  • Maintain and manage project timesheets, expense reports and status reports in accordance with company’s guidelines.
  • Effectively manage the revenue activity of the project team members and invoicing to clients.
  • Interact effectively with client project management and technical personnel.
  • Oversee project related activities such as software validation.
  • Effectively manage project assignments and schedules in concert with the other project managers and services leaders.
  • Successfully manage all financial aspects of projects. Avoid cost overruns. Produce timely & accurate project summaries.
  • Provide recommendations into planning, resource allocation, management, tracking, and reporting of projects.
  • Facilitate internal and customer meetings effectively and deliver engaging, informative presentations.
  • Travel, as needed, for internal and customer meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in IT, IS, Engineering, Life Sciences, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in project management in life and laboratory sciences software.
  • Demonstrated success in enterprise software professional services, particularly large scale and/or global, software, implementation projects, both time and materials, and fixed-fee milestone-based, in nature.Proven experience in project management, preferably in a similar role
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
