Product and Services Manager (Sr. Director)

Job Overview

This resource will provide leadership in several functions of the Clinical Data Suite, including Product Management, delivery, sales, go-to-market and other critical functions.  This role will define the strategy, vision and roadmap for the product and surrounding services.  

Essential Functions

• Provide overall direction on SaaS technology product and solution strategy
• Interact directly with customers in relationship building, pre-sales, and sales activities
• Work closely with architecture, business development, and other teams to define a scalable and saleable solution to meet client needs
• Manage the strategy, vision and roadmap for overall solution serving as the primary champion for product offering(s).  
• Work with external and internal stakeholders to define a product offering, capturing key operational needs and success measures for the development efforts. 
• Define the vision and success measures for prioritized product offering(s), in collaboration with external and internal stakeholders
• Gather and support prioritization of product requirements, providing recommendations, as appropriate
• Set product direction for technology, UX, design, and product strategy
• Develop and manage product roadmaps for product offering(s), integrating the product strategy, inclusive of timelines, risks, and dependencies
• Drive product development by coordinating with technology team members developing offering
• Proactively identify and address issues for development team, in order to avoid delays
• Research and synthesize internal and external market requirements, market and technology trends along with a competitive analysis that feeds the product strategy & roadmaps
• Provide guidance and review of offerings-related activities, including scope of work, objectives, timelines, and quality of deliverables
• Mentor and coaching in a quickly growing team that is key to delivering differentiating solutions for IQVIA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing and developing Software as a Service or Platform as a Service products
• At least 5 years’ strategic leadership experience
• At least 5 years’ experience in product development
• Strong track record of successfully deploying technology innovation to enable business growth
• Experience with relevant platforms such as big data, analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, enterprise systems integration, hybrid and multi-cloud
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good command of the English language
• Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics, with good judgment and ability to manage competing priorities
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and business stakeholders
• Ability to develop and champion robust business cases supporting the product(s)
• Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring skills
