As a Director within the Strategic Site Solutions team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering site-based network strategies to deliver growth, differentiation and superior performance across the IQVIA human data science business.  The role is focused on establishing and maintaining a global Early Clinical Development (ECD) network to provide a platform to power growth in this expanding business segment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Define, plan, and execute the ECD Strategic Site Solution strategy:

  • Drive the IQVIA ECD Strategic Site Network strategy, to support business growth objectives by developing an alternative model to a ‘Bricks & Mortar’ network.
  • Develop and implement the IQVIA ECD Network roadmap to develop a sustainable ECD network.
  • Ensure the ECD site network strategy is fit for purpose to meet IQVIA strategic goals
  • Assess existing ECD networks sites, identify gaps in capability by region & therapeutic area, and seek new networks sites
  • Look to develop alliances with strategically important academic sites with a view to joining the ECD network.  Develop alliance model, detailing operational plan & financial commitment to gain collaboration.
  • Introduce master services agreements & governance to harmonise contractual arrangements and to streamline study performance.
  • Monitor performance of ECD networks sites in KPIs to assess contribution and delivery success
  • Support the ECD team to better understand the financial commitment needed to develop & maintain an ECD Network.
  • Develop and own the relationship with the ECD Network Site stakeholders to foster customer loyalty; stimulate growth; drive innovative solutions and facilitate collaboration
  • Support IQVIA teams working with the ECD Network to ensure the delivery of the IQVIA portfolio, overcome any site related barriers and align processes
  • Initiate action plans to improve efficiencies, project outcomes and quality metrics for operational processes and roles
  • Ensure internal processes are aligned with other stakeholder departments to optimize use of the ECD Network  
  • Proactively work to develop ECD Network capabilities to fit IQVIA trial portfolio, actively liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop deep understanding of ECD business environment, IQVIA’s delivery strategy & competitive landscape.
  • Proactively promote the ECD network internally and externally, maintaining its visibility and image and liaise with the CoE, Therapeutic Strategy Leads to support RFP & Bid defence activities.
  • Provide input into effective ECD Network strategic goals
  • Provide leadership to ensure Strategic Site Solutions meet or exceed customer expectations

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • In depth knowledge of Clinical Development processes across all functional areas.
  • Ability to lead, collaborate and build effective relationships with all stakeholders at differing level of the organisation
  • Experience presenting to varying levels of leadership, with excellent fluency in PowerPoint to support presentation needs
  • Proficient ability to analyze metrics and information; ensuring activities and strategies are data driven
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good command of the English language
  • Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics, with good judgement and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to convey messaging, including value proposition to win and influence sites
  • Situational management and communication 
  • Ability to self-direct, persevere, manage efficient meetings, communicate at the right time / right amount
  • A polite, friendly, and diplomatic manner
  • Agile mindset
  • Knowledge of account/change management concepts-principles
  • Advanced knowledge and ability to apply ICH GCP/GDPR applicable guidelines, solid understanding of new methodologies in research e.g. remote monitoring, telemedicine

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree Health care or other scientific discipline or educational equivalent
  • 7+ years relevant industry experience with 5+ years of experience in a leadership capacity
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working directly at or with provider sites in a research-focused role
  • Experience with account management or customer success initiatives
  • Experience managing change
