Title: Medical Research Practitioner

Job Type: Part Time

Location: Salt Lake City UT

The Role:

  • Provides medical supervision for clinical studies by serving as the study sub-investigator and performing screening assessments to evaluate study volunteers for suitability for clinical research studies.

  • Supports review and approval of adverse event/serious adverse event narratives.

  • Performs specific routine analysis of physical exam (PE) findings, laboratory results, electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation and whether or not subjects meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria (I/E).

  • Problems are differing but related. Solutions are not readily apparent. Undertakes analysis and investigation to identify and define problems. Work is done independently, reviewed at critical points.

  • Adapts style and uses persuasion in delivering messages. Issues may be complex, audience perspectives may be divergent, and information may be non-routine in nature.

  • Contributes to the achievement of goals through personal effort and influence over others. Impact is focused on the achievement of short- to medium-term goals.

To be successful in the role, you will need to have:

  • A Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License in the state of Utah

  • Good knowledge of standard clinical processes for screening study volunteers

  • Good knowledge of internal and external regulations, standard operating procedures and work instructions

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Good ability to communicate medical information thoroughly and appropriately to volunteers
