JOB OVERVIEW

Responsible for managing projects in a regulatory environment as the client primary point of contact, and as liaison and control point for all internal teams working to support and deliver quality data with exceptional customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews client and sponsor protocols and translates laboratory requirements for setup and use in the company’s information and documentation.
  • Manages studies and independently monitors progress, communications, documentation, and reports to satisfy client preferences.
  • Facilitates contractual services and expectations, and confirms information systems, documentation, and other needs.
  • Identifies work-in-progress milestones and timelines.
  • Coordinates company services, such as but not limited to, database setup, data management, and lab operations, and serves as a resource for internal departments.
  • Receives and resolves or forwards inquiries and participates and facilitates in meetings with client representatives and other stakeholders.
  • Prepares standard database queries, and requests information/documentation from appropriate internal teams as needed.
  • Ensures that questions, concerns, and queries are resolved and documents appropriate corrective actions.
  • Communicates the needs of our clients to those who can provide the appropriate service including Project Management, Specimen Management, Business Development Data Management, Quality Assurance, Science, Laboratory Operations, Finance, etc. and follow-up to make sure the services have been provided.
  • Escalates client concerns and issues impacting or potentially impact client deliverables.
  • Responsible for testing and other contractual service forecasts and participates in compiling projections, working with Laboratory Operations, Finance and other departments, including the monitoring of study budgets.
  • Accesses laboratory information systems to locate, lookup, and organize information to support further studies and client requests.
  • Organizes and archives project management files according to record management and retention requirements.
  • Participates with project management team members to continuously review and upgrade processes, practices, and the quality of service provided to clients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.
  • Complies with all applicable regulatory standards, including Good Clinical and Good Laboratory Practices.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED AND EXPERIENCES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences and/or related field preferred and minimum of two years of experience in the equivalent capacity to a Project Manager in a clinical trial related industry.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate is desirable.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel is required.
  • Smartsheet proficiency is desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to achieve results through collaborative efforts with others.
  • Strong knowledge of Project Services processes, laboratory processes, and/or equivalent working knowledge of central laboratory operations preferred.
  • Experience in successfully leading large, global and complex Phase I-IV clinical trials preferred.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $77,300.00 - $115,800.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
