The state-of-the-art multi-purpose manufacturing facility is designed for large-scale production of biologics and has high expansion potential. After completion of construction activities, our site in Lengnau will offer highly flexible biomanufacturing technologies, from development to large-scale production including stainless steel equipment to meet our customer needs.

We are looking for a

Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Lengnau

As a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, you are responsible for the daily support of manufacturing, including compliance, important metric, scheduling, material management, change controls, investigation, CAPA, etc, lead and develop Manufacturing Excellence to run robustly and smoothly.

Your responsibilities:

  • During design and start-up of new production line: lead operational readiness in manufacturing including material management, cleanroom readiness, training, compliance
  • Participates in Technology Transfer of new products
  • Supports CVQ, PQ, Process Validation execution
  • The daily support of manufacturing, including compliance, important metric, scheduling, material management, change controls, investigation, CAPA, etc
  • Lead and develop Manufacturing Excellence in order to run robustly and smoothly
  • Ensures appropriate succession planning
  • Participates in defining robust process parameters during routine manufacturing campaigns
  • Build cross functional teams and work well with other support functions such as Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Manufacturing, Engineering, Validation, and other relevant functional areas
  • Supplies to Thermo Fisher Scientific values and adherence to ethics and legal compliance standards.
  • Takes personal accountability for their presence, performance, and efficiency for the achievement of defined objectives.

Your qualification:

  • Bachelor/Master in Chemistry / Biochemistry / Biology / Food Science
  • Language: proficiency English, German is a plus
  • 7-10 years successful experience in pharmaceuticals operations in a GMP relevant environment
  • experience in biotech processes, sterile processes, single use equipment handling, CIP/SIP processes as well as budget competence
  • first experience in single use technology is a significant advantage
  • Experience in matrix leadership
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%
  • On-call duties is expected
