Discover Impactful Work:

The Senior Recruiter (known as Recruiter III internally) is part of a global team that sources, recruits and refers best-qualified candidates for high volume vacant positions at PPD (a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific). This role acts as a talent advisor to provide strategic oversight to your assigned business units around PPD’s recruitment process, onboarding and employment brand.

You will develop an extensive network of candidate sources, as well as organize and facilitate the entire recruiting function demonstrating knowledge of personnel policy and relevant laws regarding employment practices.

A day in the Life:
  • Sources, recruits, screens resumes and interviews internal and external candidates for vacancies including mid to executive level positions.
  • Ensures necessary authorization is obtained prior to commencing recruitment activity.
  • Maintains records of activity via the recruitment system (Workday) and prepares analytical reports as assigned. Tracks applicants.
  • May assist management in sourcing of support functions as necessary.
  • Provides frequent, high quality, value-added advice and counsel to business partners on recruiting and staffing issues.
  • Remains abreast of industry trends.
  • Provides relevant reports for Hiring Managers for added value or influence.
  • May provide leadership, direction, mentoring, training, and/or coaching for junior team members.

Keys to Success:

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience
  • Previous recruitment experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5-10 years’ experience)
  • Clinical research recruitment experience preferred
  • In some cases an equivalency, consisting of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • High level of proficiency in the areas of sourcing, recruiting, and interviewing
  • Detailed knowledge of CRO industry with a strong ability to assess candidates' fit within the industry
  • Demonstrated ability to apply comprehensive knowledge, rational thought process, judgment and a corporate perspective when focusing staffing and selections strategies on business issues
  • Strong level of skill in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and complexity
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results
  • Good written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and outside vendors, with skills to function as an effective and respected partner to internal clients

The annual salary range estimated for this position is $XX,000 - $XX,000 USD. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
