How will you make an impact?

Weighs raw materials, loads gelatin silos, mix GMRs, Transfer Tio2, and monitor temperatures of GMRs. Maintain good housekeeping practices.

What will you do?

  • Works safely to prevent on-the-job accidents and injuries by observing moving equipment and adhering to all job safety procedures. It is crucial that all PPE requirements are understood and followed at all times.
  • Verifies the work of other Gelatin Operators by checking batch records, weight tapes, logbooks at each step, documents check by signing and dating appropriately.
  • Reads and adheres to workplace materials such as SOPs, Batch Records, cGMPs, MSDS memos, employee handbook, and company bulletins.
  • Ensures all documentation in official records is accurate, clearly written, and errors are corrected, accurately initialed and dated.
  • Loads Silos by hoisting Gel Powder in Super Sacks over silo feed chutes, accurately prepares super sacks for transfer, signs and verifies entries in the log book, and enters gelatin transfer into the “Material Track “ software.
  • Identifies accurate dye ingredients as the need arises per the batch record and transfers to the Gelatin Dye Weigh Room. Weighs dye according to Batch Records by using digital scale, prints results and attaches to the batch record. Identifies weighed dye containers properly.
  • Mixes gelatin receivers prior to delivering to the dispensing area. Checks gelatin mass for viscosity and documents result.
  • Actively participates in company sponsored training programs such as safety meetings, procedure awareness and new process or quality information.
  • Cleans gel receivers, valve, mixers, and small utensils per work instruction. Accurately completes paperwork, logbooks and computer entries for equipment cleaning.
  • Verifies all part numbers, lot numbers, retest dates, and weights by comparing container labels with the batch record before use.
  • Routinely keeps work area clean through the shift including tables, floors, equipment, and any other areas under their control.
  • Transfer TIO2 into a rotating drum mixer and ensures the drum is safely in place.
  • Cleans AZO area per schedule and work instruction, documents cleaning in Log Book.
  • Scraps unusable gel by acquiring waste box from the warehouse, records amount, type of gel, lot ID, reason for discarding into the logbook.
  • Other business-related duties as needed.

How will you get here?

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Meet DEA security clearance requirements if requested.

Experience

Manufacturing experience preferred.
