About Team: Providing best in class product development services to Thermo Fisher Scientific Global Business Units, is one of the core functions of the India Engineering Center (IEC). This Global Research and Development Center, established in 2009, is in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, with over 150 employees. We are a team committed to develop innovative and cutting edge technologically sophisticated products ranging from laboratory equipment, analytical instruments, remote monitoring solutions, chromatography and mass spectrometry. Role Summary:

The Senior Project Manager will be a member of a global Laboratory Products Division Sustenance Engineering Program. As part of this team your primary responsibilities will center around Project Management activities. Your role will be completing project assertively for the product life cycle management, post the NPD launch.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs a full product development lifecycle management post NPD launch
  • Builds the project plan, design verification plan & develop product risk management documents
  • Assess risk and develop design verification test plan to evaluate the products overall performance, reliability and safety
  • Develop product test reports, stage gate approval checklist and design release documentation
  • Engages with global team members with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Uses project management and time management concepts for project execution

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production/Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years overall experience with minimum 3 years of project execution experience (relevant)
  • Poses reasonable expertise in product development
  • Excellent understanding of core concept from the respective engineering domain
  • Excellent understanding of technical risk assessment and mitigation plan development
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Additional Qualifications:
  • Proficient in the use of project management tools like MPP, techniques and software tools.
  • Knowledge on Safety regulatory requirements of laboratory equipment will be preferred
  • Exposure to design patent development & quality management systems
