Job Title: Systems Administrator

Reporting to Manager, PSG IT

Location: 1-12-10 Shinkiba, Koto-ku, Tokyo 136-0082, Tokyo, Japan

Division Specific Information: PSG CTD Tokyo

Position Summary

You will contribute as a member of the PSG IT Ops and Services (IOS) Team to provide IT support to site in partnership with global functions.

What will you do?

Primary IT Contact
  • Serve as site IT contact (inclusive of advancing critical issues) for all site IT-related services which include End User IT Support, IT Infrastructure Support, Business Applications and GxP Audits Support.
  • Serve as the interface between global IT and business units to ensure collaboration and coordination among all and transfer and implement global IT computing solution standards to the site.

End User IT Support
  • Support employees with software and hardware issues e.g. Microsoft Office, printers, mobile and other End User Computing (EUC) business applications and diagnose PC / Hardware faults and its solutions as required.
  • Assist in the updates of software patching as required e.g., Anti-virus and Windows Updates.
  • Perform procurement of computers and peripheral from IT Suppliers
  • Ensure new hires are provided with the required hardware on time before the new hires on board.
  • Assist technical staff in the event of major incident or critical system failures.
  • Maintain system documentation and IT Inventory.

IT Infrastructure Support
  • Act as an IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) and collaborate with Global IT (PSG IT and Corporate Infrastructure & Security (CIS) teams) to design and deploy new infrastructure solution to meet business and technology needs according to technology, security and quality standards.
  • Work and coordinate with Global IT teams (Network, Servers, Backup, Disaster Recovery, AV, Printing etc) and vendors to review and resolve system issues in a timely and quick manner to minimize business impact and maintain system availability and reliability.
  • Work with local facility team for IT server room and communication rooms according to the IT standards.

Business Application Support
  • Ensure availability of global business applications (e.g., GPM, CODA, Trackwise, eDMS, SFLMS etc) and support business team by advancing Incident and Request tickets for business Applications.
  • Support deployment of local systems (EMS, BMS, Access Control, CCTV etc) and customers systems and its Peripherals (Label Printers, Scanners etc).

CSV and GxP Audits Support
  • Work with Global and Site Quality and CSV to maintain, generate, review, approve, and control departmental documentation (e.g., user requirements and guidelines, design / configuration spec, IQ/OQ/PQ, system reports, user access reviews, periodic reviews).
  • Provide audit supports and also as a main contact for the IT related audit requests.

Others
  • Work with global and local teams and vendors on global and local IT projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

How will you get here?

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.

Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of IT professionals experience in a fast-paced and MNC company environment. Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in IT Site Support preferably in the manufacturing or warehousing environment. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
  • Relevant technical certificates (Server, Network, Application, IT Project Management) is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Broad knowledge of infrastructure, applications, hardware, software, desktop support and IT security are required.
  • Some working experience on network and servers are required.
  • Some working experience in operations applications as 1st line Site Support are required before advancing the issues to Global Application Teams.
  • Reasonable verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to provide on site support and remotely direct other resources in infrastructure components such as switches, routers and servers etc.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with a diverse group e.g., executives, managers, and SMEs and end users.
  • Strong customer focus with commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • CSV knowledge in industry practices (e.g., GAMP 5 and ISPE) and FDA and European regulations is a plus.
