Responsibilities

  • The position is encouraged to meet or exceed a defined sales plan, forecast sales performance accurately, and develop in-depth knowledge of assigned accounts.
  • The rep will pursue opportunities to sell all IES Services, including warranty and T&M conversions, contract renewals, validation services and enterprise service product.
  •  The position will partner with field sales and service colleagues to identify, negotiate and close opportunities within the territory.
  • Provide customer happiness through technical service, installation, operation, training, and repair of speciality equipment.
  • Undertake product installation on client premises.
  • Provide training and technical advice on instrument use, both in person and by phone.
  • Investigate difficulties and address faults arising from operation or utilization.
  • Resolve problems or suggest solutions or arrange for repairs to be made.
  • Provide an important link between customers and Sales and Marketing.
  • Act as a liaison with factory technicians to report and accurate faults.
  • Supervise repairs in terms of the organization’s service / warranty cover and making suggestions as to product improvements.
  • Schedule and carry out planned maintenance calls and perform regular customer visits.
  • Make recommendations about spare part needs and assisting with monitoring equipment.
  • Education

  • Bachelor/Master of Science in Chemistry/Biochemistry, Engineering, or equivalent background.
  • Experience

  • 8 years+ Analytical instrument sales or service background experience  
  • With people management preferred.
  • Experience from Pharmaceutical industry, Research or semicon business background preferred.
  • The successful candidate will be meticulous, with expertise in sophisticated numerical calculations.
  • Must have previous sales experience, excellent tele sales skills and communication ability, and a high proficiency at negotiating sophisticated deals.
  • Must be self-starting, able to work independently, highly upbeat, and driven to succeed.
  • Must be proficient at working on a computer and using associated systems for generating quotations and tracking order opportunities.
  • Knowledge of SFDC/SAP is helpful.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Analytical instrument experience crucial
  • Fluent in written and verbal communication skills both in Chinese and English
  • Ability to be coordinate own work efficiently, productively, and independently
  • Detail oriented and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work on a range of tasks as part of ongoing projects, and to make sound decisions in order to meet deadlines for the completion of projects or activities
  • Interpersonal skills suitable for a people-oriented job, requiring interactions with many people both inside and outside the organization
  • Self-motivated and proactive in technical and support approach.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
  • Possession of a valid Driving License is essential.
