Job Summary

SALARY: The hourly rate for this position is a flat rate of $20.00. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.

SHIFT: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm 

Central shipping supports the transfer of generating, organizing, and verifying, and general oversight of materials shipped.  Staff manages shipping materials related to biological specimens, test article, formulation samples and multiple other study materials.  Staff also supports the shipping process by maintaining shipment status within the proper shipping system.  Staff are knowledge in application of GxPs and applicable SOPs, U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT)/International Air Transportation Association (IATA) regulations, along with adhering to study protocols to accurately ship materials.

Essential Functions (The fundamental Competencies/Skills & Responsibilities of the role (products and services provided/results accomplished) include, but are not limited to, those listed:   •    Efficiently performs and documents all procedures, materials, and results in compliance with applicable regulatory standards as applicable (protocols, methods, SOPs, etc.) •    Demonstrates effective teamwork, and communication skills through informal discussions with peers, supervisor, and team •    Accurately identifies and effectively communicates any regarding materials shipped/to be shipped •    Maintains the integrity and security of archived materials, as applicable to the discipline •    Effectively performs tasks including but not limited to generating, organizing, and verifying shipping documents, and packaging material in accordance with DOT/IATA regulations, and processes shipments with courier services, with oversight •    Develops knowledge for one operational area of shipping, with oversight •    Develops critical thinking, troubleshooting and time management skills aligned with the needs of the discipline •    Perform all other related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Qualifications (Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities required to accomplish the essential functions) include but are not limited to: •    HS/GED/Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.  No previous experience required •    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above •    Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization •    Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite •    Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions, including the ability to learn a validated system •    Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to evenings, weekends, extended shifts, and/or extra shifts; sometimes on short notice •    Ability to work under specific time constraints
