The role

We are embarking on a project to connect the analyses of clinical patient data with genomic data. We are establishing this link based on a platform of tried and tested software development work in the patient analytics space. Our E360™ software suite holds and allows analyses of 18 datasets worldwide. The next stage in its evolution is to extend its capability to genomic data. You will be part of the E360 Genomics team. Within this group, you will contribute to developing a software solution that will shape the future of genomic clinical analysis. Your work will include all aspects of the software development: functionality, UI/UX and data visualizations.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to building the E360 Genomics system within the overall E360 software engineering framework
• Work with external Genomics partners to build an integrated solution across systems

Required Skills and Experience

• Flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt (critical, as fundamental technology choices are expected during development)
• Substantial experience in a commercial software development environment
• Able to analyze complex problems with good attention to detail
• Methodical yet creative approach to problem solving
• Deep understanding of web development and database technologies: C#, ASP/MVC, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax
• Proven experience in modern data-driven web application development based on current Microsoft technology

Desired Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of Scala/Spark
• Experience with bioinformatics research projects
• Understanding of genomics and clinical genomic analyses
