In return, we’ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about. Job Summary We are seeking a Cagewash Foreman 2 (Bldg 35)for our Insourcing Solutionssite located inBethesda, MD.

The following are responsibilities related to the Cagewash Foreman 2:

•Provides daily direction and supervision to approximately cagewash technicians to maintain quality performance of departmental and client objectives, including meeting/exceeding departmental standards for cagewash facilities operation, facilities condition, sanitation levels and facility security. Coordinates personnel scheduling to support facility needs.

•Builds competence among employees through conducting appropriate training activities and through appropriate supervision related activities.

•Conducts routine inspection of cagewash facilities, equipment and materials.

•Participates in the development and implementation of site-specific standard operating procedures (SOP's)

•Identify and document and report any environmental abnormalities.

•Identify and report any caging and or cage washing equipment abnormalities.

•Ensures proper sanitation of equipment and area.

•Evaluate and make adjustments to workflow to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of cages processed or other cagewash operations.

•Use of computer programs to maintain data as requested and provide computerized report.

•Supervises record maintenance. Generates and submits internal and external reports in the required formats and timeframes, including autoclave cycles, tunnel and rack washer operations and sanitation. Reports to management on operations-related issues.

•Coordinates preventive maintenance of all cagewash machinery, equipment and materials; repair of same as necessary and general organization and up-keep of physical environment in areas of responsibility.

•Troubleshoots equipment issues, performs minor repairs, and coordinates service provider visits.

•Actively interacts with customers as required to solve customer requests, inquiries, and complaints and to provide technical assistance.

The following are minimum qualifications related to theCagewash Foreman 2position:

•Education: High School Diploma required. Associates or Bachelor’s preferred.

•Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an animal facility required. Supervisory experience preferred.

•Certification/Licensure: AALAS certification at the Laboratory Animal Technician level (LAT) required.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
