Inklusjonskriterier:
- Pasienter med metastatisk tykktarmskreft kommer for innledende cellegiftbehandling
- Dokumentert metastatisk tykktarmskreft
- WHOs ytelsesstatus på 0, 1 eller 2
- Målbare svulster
- Tilstrekkelig hematologisk status, lever- og nyrefunksjon
- Forventet levealder over 12 uker
- Skriftlig informert samtykke innhentet
Ekskluderingskriterier:
- Historie eller tilstedeværelse av sykdom i sentralnervesystemet
- Pasienter med en historie med annen primær kreft innen 5 år
- Tidligere kjemoterapi for metastatisk tykktarmskreft
- Forutgående fullfeltstrålebehandling innen 4 uker eller begrenset feltstrålebehandling innen 2 uker før studiestart
- Større operasjon innen 4 uker eller mindre operasjon innen 2 uker før studiestart
- Utredningsmedisiner innen 4 uker før innreise til studier
- Tidligere behandling med anti-VEGF-midler
- Enhver tidligere behandling med oksaliplatin eller allergi mot platinaholdige legemidler
- Perifer nevropati med funksjonssvikt
- Kvinnelige pasienter som er gravide eller ammer
- Eventuelle alvorlige eller ukontrollerte medisinske tilstander som kan hindre deltakelse i studien
- Pasienter som tar Coumadin
