Job Summary We are seeking a Technologist for our Technical Operations team at the Microbial Solutions site in Charleston, SC.
The Technologist role is responsible for performing all production related activities, pertaining to the manufacturing and testing of analytical diagnostic reagents.
Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for laboratory testing including gel-clot, Kinetic, PTS/LAL testing, and Celsis Rapid Microbiology Support production/operational activities during the manufacturing and packaging of small batch buffers, freeze dried reagents and cartridges. This may include preparation of equipment for filling operations, operation of manual and automated production filling equipment within a Class 100 suite, quality inspection of in-process and finished product, and clean room preparation. Maintaining proficiency in SOPs applicable to assigned areas and tasks, gown qualification, and proper use of aseptic techniques Compliance in documentation procedures according to internal policies and FDA regulations Perform other related duties as assigned Job Qualifications Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) required. Bachelors or Associates degree in life science preferred. Experience: 2+ years related experience in a laboratory or aseptic or sterile production / fill operations. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
