Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly motivated Product Management Intern to join our Cell Therapy Product Management team for a 3-month assignment. 

You will play a lead role in developing and completing a business process improvement initiative supporting the cell therapy customer experience.   

Examples: Cell Therapy instrument demo workflow, new product introduction, gathering voice of customer

 You will conduct a complete audit of the current process, understanding the inefficiencies and opportunities. You will have an opportunity to analyze and report out overall recommendations to improve the existing process by mapping out future state, changes to be made and an implementation plan.

This position will provide you with opportunities to gain a deep understanding of the cell therapy business at ThermoFisher Scientific and exposure to the cell therapy market landscape and industry.  Your efforts will help ThermoFisher Scientific Cell Therapy improve operational efficiency, reduce process time, and improve customer experience..  You will gain critical experience and grow your network as you embark in your career.

A day in the Life:

  • Conduct process analysis:  You will spend time researching and analyzing current state processes and develop areas of opportunity based on internal and external feedback. 
  • Collaborative work:  You will work closely with global subject matter experts in R&D, marketing, product development and sales to understand their perspectives and gain additional insight.
  • Market and competitor trends: You will get exposure to the  cell therapy market and  the latest industry trends, advancements and regulatory landscape.  This may involve reviewing scientific publications, industry news and attending webinars.
  • Documentation and Reporting:  You will be responsible for preparing reports and presentations summarizing your findings and recommendations.  These reports will be shared with relevant stakeholders within the company, contributing to strategic decision making.
  • Mentorship: You will regularly check in with your supporting product managers.  There will be many opportunities to learn from experienced professionals who can guide you, offer advice and help you develop in your career.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Currently pursuing a PhD level degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Biotech, Operations Management, or a related fields

Experience

  • 0+ years of experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong communication skills, including interviewing subject matter experts
  • Six Sigma a plus
  • Strong leadership, team building, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional and global team

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $14.75–$45.75.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
