You will manage the following portfolios including reagents and instruments: Molecular Biology, Cellular Culture, Cellular Analysis (Microscopy, Cytometry…) and Protein Biology for the Invitrogen and Applied Biosystem brands.

As an inside sales account manager, you will be asked to communicate actively verbally and in writing.

The primary functional objective of the position is direct contact with customers, to initiate and develop relationships, which will ultimately generate sales.  

The position is permanent and will be based in our Villebon office with a dynamic and fast paced team.  

Accountabilities

  • Identify sales opportunities with new and existing customers and successfully manage the sales of company products and services to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan.
  • Maintain and increase current customer database through Company customer relation’s management software (Sales Force CRM) and coordinate sales processes for assigned accounts within your sales territory 
  • Manage and close sales leads generated by colleagues in Marketing and Technical Support teams 
  • Regularly provide written and verbal communication of successes, failures, best practices, to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team, region and sales organization 
  • Communicate with research scientists at all accounts to discover their needs, share product information and create sales presentations. 
  • Participate in sales, product and systems training, marketing campaigns and special projects as presented by the Company to develop appropriate selling skills consistent with Company philosophy, policies, and procedures  
  • Be in close contact with your customers by remote ways (Teams, mail, phone) for 80% of your time and face to face interactions (booths, meetings, demonstrations) for 20% of your time.
  • Coordinate quotations within Company Guidelines by extending competitive pricing as needed to maintain and increase revenues with guidance from Management and/or Marketing 
  • Provide sales forecast for assigned territory to support business understanding

Knowledge and skills

  • Master or PhD within Life Sciences required
  • Sales mindset; strongly motivated by targets 
  • Strong communicator; able to engage and influence at all levels 
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and desire to succeed 
  • Ability to manage time effectively to prioritize and complete tasks required 
  • Able to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment 
  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or similar required 
  • Fluent in French and in English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Ability to function effectively in a high-performance team 
  • Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing business environment 
  • Initial business experience in sales or any other customer-facing role in Life Science industry or other is an advantage 
  • The ability to handle numerous tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines and prove that you can be reliable in terms of communication and in your actions
