At our pre-clinical development site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, we are currently recruiting for a Trainee Scientist to join our Aerosol Methods R&D section within In Vitro Toxicology lab in the Genetic Toxicology department.
In this role, you will work on modified Genetic Toxicology and Invitro Toxicology models conducted on specialized Aerosol exposure systems.
This is a 100% Lab based role

The main responsibilities will include:
Maintaining lab cleanliness, supplies and tidiness (cleaning, calibrations, reagent prep and disposal, waste disposal etc.)
Maintaining laboratory equipment and equipment records within laboratory areas
Producing laboratory worksheets for standard assays
Preparation and performance of standard assay(s) in base lab area
Accurate recording and data checking of study and laboratory raw data

Education:
Educated to BSc level in a relevant health science subject
Skills / Experience:
Knowledge and understanding of Good Laboratory Practice or Good Manufacturing Practice and any cell and/or tissue culture experience would be advantageous
Experience or knowledge of analytical techniques, specifically spectrophotometry UV/vis, luminescence, flow cytometry and HPLC advantageous
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to accurately read, record, and communicate information
Familiarity with standard spreadsheet (Excel) and word-processing software applications
Communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
