Description
- A Bachelor’s degree or a comparable qualification in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Comprehensive experience in media relations or journalism, with a proven track record of securing coverage in top-tier publications.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, and the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in training teams and advising senior-level clients.
- Strategic thinker with a creative mindset, capable of developing innovative approaches to earned media.
- Proficiency in media monitoring and analysis tools.
- Ability to work flexibly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of the healthcare industry, its regulatory and media landscape (e.g., ABPI code).
- Experience in working specifically within global pharmaceutical media relations.
- Extensive network of journalist contacts across consumer, health, medical, and trade publications at a global, regional, and local level.
- Develop and implement comprehensive earned media strategies that align with our clients' objectives and industry trends.
- Leverage a strong network of global journalist contacts to secure high-impact media coverage across consumer, medical, and trade publications.
- Lead media training sessions for clients and internal teams, enhancing their ability to engage with the media effectively.
- Establish and maintain best practices for media relations, ensuring consistency and excellence across all client engagements.
- Serve as a senior counsel to clients, offering strategic advice on media relations and reputation management.
- Monitor media landscapes and trends, adapting strategies as necessary to maintain relevance and impact.
- Foster strong relationships with media outlets and journalists, ensuring continued access to high-value opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate earned media with broader communications strategies, amplifying reach and effectiveness.
- Measure and report on the success of earned media campaigns, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Work closely with other business units to ensure a cohesive approach to client servicing.
- Focus on building and nurturing a team capable of delivering excellence in earned media.
