Job Summary

We are seeking an Instructional Designer to work in the Global Technology Organizational Change Management (OCM) team, the Learning and Development (L&D) team, business stakeholders and subject matter experts across our global organization to design, develop and deploy high quality learning solutions to build individual, team and organizational skills and capabilities. The Instructional Designer is responsible for creating new learning content, repurposing, and updating existing content, using proven and innovative learning modalities including instructor-led, eLearning, blended, on-the-job training.  Learning materials are for cutting edge digital products produced in Global Technology but not limited to Global Technology.    

The ideal candidate will have expertise in instructional design, adult learning, and the effective use of broad range of tools and technology. They will also demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills, work collaboratively, and thrive in a purpose-driven, high growth organization.  All work will be conducted remotely as part of a global OCM team.  

Responsibilities: •    Propose, design, develop and deploy learning solutions that will engage learners, drive performance, facilitate behavior change and/or transfer knowledge. •    Create or enhance learning materials including, but not limited to; instructor-led and virtual instructor-led content, online (eLearning) courses, on-the-job training guides, tutorials, simulations, videos, exams, assessments, job aids, reference materials. •    Synthesize, organize, and transform data and information into usable, logical, concise, and functional training documents/solutions. •    Collaborate with subject matter experts, Product Owners, OCM leads and internal L&D professionals to define target audience’s learning needs, establish scope, outcomes, and objectives, as well as create and deploy learning solutions. •    Working with an OCM lead, assist to establish methods and tools to monitor learning during and after training to link with expected results. •    Apply expert-level knowledge of adult learning principles and concepts, instructional design theory, learning tools, measurement and evaluation methods. •    Participate on projects including communicating effectively and regularly with stakeholders. •    Provide key input to trainers/facilitators, OCM Leads and Product Owners on techniques to improve delivery and adoption of content. •    Identify opportunities and assist to propose creative solutions for continuous improvement of the impact and quality of our training, based on learning industry trends, best practices and innovative methods and technologies.

Job Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, adult learning, education, or a related discipline •    Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and developing online, blended and in-person learning solutions using proven and innovative instructional approaches. •    Proficiency with common content development tools such as Articulate 360/Storyline, RISE, Camtasia, SnagIt, Adobe Captivate, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word) as well as standard audio, graphic and video creation and editing. •    Knowledge of multimedia design development tools such as Canva and Biteable.  •    Proven learning content development project management experience and organizational skills •    Ability to synthesize and simplify complex information from a variety of sources and create a relevant and effective learning experience. •    Experience at agile training design including rapid development to meet the needs of a fast-paced, ever-changing business. •    Excellent communications skills and relationship management (interpersonal, written and verbal with attention to detail) •    Experience with learning management systems (LMS) - preferably SAP SuccessFactors and/or Totara •    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $65K - $88K USD. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
