Job Description

We are seeking a Director of Marketing to own the Divisional integrated marketing team that will elevate how we engage with customers in the life science community. Reflecting the voice of the customer, this role is responsible for developing and delivering creative customer experiences that will both delight our customers and drive impactful marketing initiatives at scale for the Bioscience Division (BID) of Thermo Fisher Scientific.

To be successful, this professional should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment at a global level and collaborating with large cross-functional teams across the organization!.

Responsibilities:

Customer advocate and brand steward, while driving 1-3 key integrated marketing campaigns/programs creatively serving 4 business units and 5 global regions with full funnel awareness and measurable demand generation marketing strategies.

Lead a cross functional team of marketing professionals, mentoring and embracing Generative Artificial Intelligence and data science approaches

Drive excellence in broad cross divisional marketing processes such as annual planning for the division and lead key internal communication initiatives.

Develop programs to share best practices to current and new marketing team members

Serve as member of BID Marketing Leadership Team, driving cohesive customer engagement via peer alignment

Accountable to achieve important metric targets as mutually established with the business and regularly reports to Executive and Senior Management on target performance.

Coordinate with global, corporate, and regional marketing to ensure visibility, willingness and alignment, as well as sharing of standard methodologies to improve success.

Qualifications and experience

10 years marketing experience efficiently implementing marketing plans across channels.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business required. Background in Biology, Biochemistry or related field is a plus. M.B.A. preferred

Efficiency in this role requires excellent listening skills, clearly communicate verbally and in writing, and a general knowledge of operating plans as well as industry practices for promoting and selling similar products.

Strong professional networks and the ability to influence without authority are required.

Persuasive communication across a diverse group of partners and presentation acuity, as well as analysis and reporting of results required.

Strong marketing demeanour and customer focus are essential.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $160,100.00–$213,450.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
