Product and Strategy Director

Develops, analyzes, implements and oversees short-term and long-term strategic business processes and plans to increase operational efficiency, meet organization strategic vision and achieve financial goals. Monitors industry trends, competitor actions, economic developments and regulatory environment to identify and plan for expected impact on business operations.

Job Overview

Direct, supervise and manage product creation, roll-out, and continued evolution, ensuring that product creation is on time and within budget. Includes gather and prioritizing product and customer requirements, building upon the product vision, and working closely with developers and cross-functional team towards milestones. Once product is designed, works with sales and marketing to support revenue creation and customer satisfaction initially and through continued updates. This individual must also have proven experience in driving product release cycles, including working with cross-functional teams to deliver high quality solutions on time.

Responsibilities 

• Builds upon the product strategy, creates product roadmap and executes with the cross-functional team 
• Serves as primary project contact with internal teams to ensure appropriate communication channels are maintained and product roadmap is adhered to 
• Ensure the development of project plans for all phases of the project and associated deliverables. 
• Creates product requirements document with prioritized features and corresponding justification 
• Works with internal teams and external third parties to assess partnership, licensing, or acquisition opportunities 
• Direct and lead project activities for team members related to their project-oriented tasks to ensure that project/program milestones are met. 
• Evaluate impact of risk, develop and implement quality and risk management plans for minimizing impact on project objectives and deliverables 
• Continually review and ensure adequate resources are available to meet project deliverables and milestones 
• Understand competitive landscape of gross to net offerings and develop core positioning and messaging for the product 
• Create revenue plan for multiple client types and stages of tool development 
• Accountable for the financial oversight and goals for projects of assigned customers to meet company realization targets. 
• Ensure quality of deliverables for projects of assigned clients. 
• Participate in sales/proposal presentations in face-to-face meetings with potential customers, including product demos 
• Provide technical expertise and insights for gross to net and revenue management and act as a leader in the organization on the topic 
• May take project management lead role for specified customer(s), including acting as team member on operation and/or steering committees with strategic partners. 
• Serve as a project management liaison with other groups within IQVIA. 
• Develop and implement continuous improvement for assigned projects and programs long term 

Experience

• Typically requires 7 - 10 years of prior relevant experience.

Knowledge

• Requires extensive knowledge of gross to net and revenue management obtained through advanced education and experience.
• Broad management knowledge to lead teams and influence others outside of own job area regarding goals and tasks.
• Viewed as a leading expert within the field by peers.

Education

• Master's Degree- MBA strongly desired
