This role will be based at our modern state of the art office in Nottingham city centre which has excellent transport links as well as a great working environment and the feel of an innovative technology company. Please note, at present, the role would be performed from home but it would be expected that when the office opens you would be office based.

As the Director, Business Management Office, you will be primarily responsible for initially defining metrics and data points essential to the measurement and evaluation of the operation of the business group. Once defined, you will direct others to apply the appropriate analysis to create data outputs that will help various teams make critical business decisions based on this data.

You will also support and influence decisions across the organization base on the insights provided. You will be responsible for planning, facilitating and implementing business wide change programs, in collaboration with the affected business areas. You will ensure to meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. It will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The role will also support the Yearly Budget Planning processes.

Key Accountabilities:

Business Process Improvement

- Analyses and designs business processes; identifies alternative solutions to exploit new technologies and automation. Develops graphical representations of business processes to facilitate understanding and decision making.

- Assesses the feasibility of business process changes and recommends new approaches.

Organisational Capability Development

- Leads substantial improvement programmes. Seeks out, identifies, proposes, and initiates capability improvement activities within the organisation typically driven by the need to enhance performance, satisfy new business opportunities or to respond to external drivers

- Selects frameworks, approaches and techniques for use.

Change implementation planning and management

- Creates the business readiness plan, taking into consideration IT deployment, data migration, capability deployment (training and engagement activities) and any business activities required to integrate new digital processes or jobs into the "business as usual" environment.

- Determines the readiness levels of business users with regard to upcoming changes; uncovers readiness gaps and creates and implements action plans to close the gaps prior to going live

Program management

- Plans, directs, and co-ordinates activities to manage and implement a programme from contract /proposal initiation to final operational stage including the transition into “business-as-usual”; plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related to the programme.

- Ensures that programmes are managed to realise business benefits and that programme management is informed by an awareness of current technical developments.

Relationship Management

- Leads the development of comprehensive stakeholder management strategies and plans. Builds long-term, strategic relationships with senior stakeholders (internal and external).

- Facilitates the engagement of stakeholders and delivery of services and change projects.

QualificationsEducation:

- Educated to degree level (life science, technology, or other related discipline preferred), or other relevant qualification/experience.

- Lean/Lean Six Sigma qualification desired.

Skills:

- Ability to maintain, manipulate, and analyze large datasets

- Numerical ability and logical thinking

- Ability to summarize and present information in a concise and clear fashion at executive level

- Ability to apply robust program management skills and partner with the leadership team to operate a large scale enterprise program across one or more areas
