Human Predictive Genomics (HPG) Senior Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) Nordics and Baltics
About the role
This role is accountable for developing Predictive Genomics (PG) and Pharmacogenomics (PGx) business in Nordics (Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland) and Baltics, with the goal of moving healthcare systems from a model of sick care to preventative care. Our microarray genotyping technology, in combination with wider Thermo Fisher product offering (e.g. sample collection, extraction, storage, data analysis, LIMS) provides a robust, reliable and efficient workflow to meet current and prospective Customer’s needs, come and join a fast growing very motivated business development team!
Responsibilities
- Main responsibility for this role will be to drive above-market business growth, by developing a network of contacts (eg KOLs), attract new prospective clients, develop quotes and proposals, research new market opportunities, coordinate key projects and provide reliable revenue forecast; in collaboration with Microarray Business Unit, other functions (e.g. Marketing, Sales, FSE, FAS), other businesses from Thermo Fisher Scientific and channel partners.
- This role will contribute to develop and implement strategy and tactics that lead to increased customer value creation and business expansion, expanding customer relationships at senior level. Market intelligence data collected will allow the Company to develop strategies and products appropriate to the region. Strategic relationships with key accounts and key opinion leaders will drive innovation and better company solutions into the market.
Skills Required
Strong sales skills: territory planning, funnel management, forecast accuracy (revenue and demand), prioritization skills. Understanding of success metrics and how metrics are measured for regional commercial team and business unit. Ability to give compelling presentations about our capabilities and value proposition with excellent communication and presentation skills
Business and domain knowledge: understanding of microarray products, workflow and applications. Ability to identify prospective opportunities in PG and PGx areas. Proven experience in conducting business in local terms and via channel partners. Driving compliance in accordance with company procedures, business needs and all applicable local and international regulations. Cultural awareness about local dynamics and behaviours.
Ability to work in a matrix and very disperse region: extensive travel, optimally network inside and outside Company’s organization, influencing skills, ability to align regional and business strategies, effectively conflict management. teamwork with others, look for synergies across businesses, encourage team spirit across organization, deal with complex logistics, adapt and act quickly.
Additional Requirements
- Masters in Life Sciences, PhD preferred
- Solid background in Genetics
- Previous sales experience in life science, plus, experience with complex deals and projects
- Fluent in English - written and spoken skills, secondary language is a plus
- Ability to commit to up to 75% travel time
