The Greenville, North Carolina, USA site is a large, multipurpose pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, and packaging campus. The operation provides both development and commercial services for sterile injectables forms.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a motivated data analytics professional with passion for process transformation, and experience working with large ERP systems and MS Power BI. The Sr. Data Analyst position will support the business intelligence strategy and related process improvement initiatives to deliver comprehensive, actionable data reporting and analysis for business leadership to evaluate key performance metrics and correlate current or future actions aimed to improve top/bottom line results. This is not a remote position.

Essential Functions: 

  • Work cross-functionally with local, regional, and global IT, Finance, Commercial and Operational teams to build automated, scalable, standardized, and user-friendly platforms

  • Conduct full life cycle analysis from requirements gathering, business analysis, and design to implementation of ideas and processes

  • Interpret data and analyze results using data mining and statistical techniques from ERP data to set up predictive analysis models and reports

  • Streamline existing and introduce enhanced reporting and analysis solutions that leverage complex data sources derived from multiple internal systems

  • Look for process automation opportunities and partner with various teams to implement business transformation ideas

  • Partner with the business and IT teams to acquire data from primary or secondary data sources or to build data repositories

  • Help to define standardized reporting and ensure data source integrity for high fidelity analytics

  • Translate business intelligence into concise presentation formats to guide discussion and critical decision making for intended audience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science or related field

Experience:

  • 2+ years in business intelligence development and process transformation

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Power BI and Office 365 Apps

  • Experience in large ERP systems (e.g. SAP / Oracle)

  • Operations or pharmaceutical experience a plus

  • Solid experience with SQL; experience of scripting language (Python or JavaScript) a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Proven ability to drive requirements elicitation and practice the design thinking lifecycle

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences

  • Demonstrable ability to establish trusted, effective relationships across diverse sets of partners

  • Analytical problem solver, strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity

  • Passion for understanding the customer perspective and using data to drive better decision-making

  • Ability to lead projects and processes independently
