  • Position Summary: This position will help us leading and driving direct sales in the North of Potugal and could be extended to other areas in the country.. Sales activity relates to account management and identify new opportunities within the region. This poisiton will work with other commercial departments to support technical and sales inquiries, tradeshows, technical training workshops, clinical workshops, of PDX Business. Furthermore, this position will assist to collect, analyze, and research scientific publications in Multiple Myeloma to identify new and essential educational opportunities in the region. It is expected that this position will manage, develop, and maintain good and productive relationships with KOL and protein experts in the country.
  • Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implement the strategy defined by the Western European Manager throughout the territories to reach or exceed the Annual Operating Plan ( AOP)
  • In support of these strategies, develop the go-to-market initiatives and tactics.
  • Captures, analyzes and delivers information from the field to allow the company to develop strategies and products
  • Provide accurate forecast and lost order reporting as well as competitive information
  • Build a strong opportunity pipeline and provide monthly report on progress
  • Meet and/or exceed annual growth targets.
  • Work collaboratively with all Thermo Fisher Scientific divisions, to leverage a total Thermo Fisher Scientific experience.
  • Build clinical knowledge of Multiple Myeloma and Immunology fields.
  • Frequent Travel required (50 - 75%)
  • Experience and Education:
  • More than 4 years of sales experience in a similar environment
  • A college degree in Biological Sciences, preferably Molecular Biology or Molecular Diagnostics
  • Familiar with the general concepts, practices and procedures inherent in the field of Protein diagnostics or equivalent.
  • Self-directed, great teammate individual possessing a balance of business and life science acumen, people, leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Possess strong listening and interpersonal skills, and effective oral and written presentation communication skills
  • Mother language from Portugal, Fluent written and verbal skills in English, Spanish would be a plus
  • Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implementation of short and long term commercial strategies to ensure achievement of business objectives.
  • Build a comprehensive pipeline to track opportunities and allow accurate forecasting in the region using Salesforce
  • Record in Salesforce all noteworthy commercial activities from the region (meeting, visit, tradeshow) and build weekly reports to track activities
  • Attend symposiums and seminars. Disseminate and collect market data in region from customers.
  • Strengthen brand identity by facilitating in-country workshops, demonstrations, and learning sessions across product lines.
  • Review, analyze, and report the performance of the region monthly, including targeted goals, productivity, and initiatives.
