Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Focus Account Operation to join our team at Thermofisher Scientific. As the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of our focus accounts while aligning with sales and marketing strategies. This role requires strong operational expertise, strategic thinking, high business acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

1. Sales AOP, AOT, Setup, Follow-up, and Review:

   - Develop and execute operational components of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Annual Operating Targets (AOT) for assigned focus accounts.

   - Collaborate with sales teams to align operational strategies with sales objectives and action plans.

   - Monitor operational performance against AOP and AOT, conduct periodic reviews, and make necessary adjustments to ensure targets are achieved.

   - Work closely with sales teams to understand and address operational challenges that impact sales performance.

   - Foster strong relationships with key customers to maximize sales opportunities and ensure operational alignment.

2. Marketing and Sales Data Consolidation, Analysis, Summarization, and Insights:

   - Consolidate, analyze, and summarize marketing and sales data to gain insights into operational performance and market trends.

   - Collaborate with marketing teams to align operational activities with marketing strategies and initiatives.

   - Use data-driven insights to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, and support decision-making.

   - Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences.

   - Develop customer segmentation strategies based on data analysis.

3. QBR and MBR Preparation and Report Out:

   - Prepare and present QBR and MBR focusing on operational performance of focus accounts.

   - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and present relevant operational data.

   - Highlight operational achievements, challenges, and strategies for improvement in QBR and MBR reports.

   - Provide insights and recommendations based on performance analysis.

   - Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

4. Support for Sales and Focus Account (FA) Success:

   - Provide operational support to the sales team and focus accounts to ensure successful achievement of targets.

   - Collaborate with internal teams to address operational issues impacting focus accounts.

   - Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within focus accounts.

   - Drive operational excellence to enhance customer satisfaction and business growth.

   - Conduct regular business reviews with focus accounts to assess performance and identify growth opportunities.

5. CEC management and customer visit support

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA preferred.

- Proven experience in focus account operations or a similar role.

- Strong operational expertise with a track record of driving process improvement.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to think strategically and execute operational plans.

- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
