Responsibilities:

  • Management and staffing of the technical team: Process Automation Engineers (PCS/CUA/FMS) and MES Engineers internals and contingent workers
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to design, develop, and implement process automation solutions using PCS/MES systems.
  • Lead the operations of the team to ensure flawless delivery of automation solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with individuals or groups to comprehend their needs and devise appropriate strategies to fulfill them.
  • Provide technical leadership in complex problem-solving and decision-making
  • Provide day-to-day support for the Process Automation & MES systems (DEV, VAL, PROD)
  • Develop a sustainable support model that provides the appropriate service level to manufacturing and other collaborators to minimize manufacturing interruptions.
  • Ensure alignment with Thermo Fisher Scientific procedures and practices that governs Change Control and Validation.
  • Implement automation harmonization and standardization
  • System owner of Process Automation systems & Manufacturing Execution System
  • Provide engineering expertise and direction to employees and contractors to meet project and support schedules and financial goals while ensuring technical success.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in process automation, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Shown experience in process automation using PCS/MES systems.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
