Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team. As a Global Technical Support Engineer, you will be a valuable member of the Global Technical Support Specialist (GTS) APR team, offering exceptional technical support to our customers. In this position, you will have the chance to work with advanced technology and collaborate with a diverse team to provide excellent solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 2nd line technical support up to system level of TEM products, including phone and email support, on-site repair, and training of onsite engineers.
• Provide remote support to Field Service Engineers (FSEs) and customers, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of technical issues.
• Collaborate with colleagues from other GTS teams, application teams, and field service to determine and implement effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

- Travel to customer sites, approximately 20% - 40% of working time, to perform repairs and provide technical support.

Requirements:

• University degree in a technical field or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the high-tech industry environment, preferably in service, development, or manufacturing.
• Proven experience in TEM operation, technical support, or application.
• Experience with project management is a plus.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with customers and colleagues.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written. Additional language skills are an asset.
