The VP, Clinical Operations is responsible for the management of the clinical site management operations for Europe and the Americas. The group consists of CRAs/ICRAs approximate 800 to 2000 employees . The VP is responsible for managing and developing staff and their performance, continuously striving for operational excellence, controlling the budget, and interacting directly with clients in a way that results in repeat business. The VP is responsible to ensure that appropriate management practices are in place to retain staff and maintain project and business continuity. The VP, Clinical Operations needs to ensure that Parexel operations delivers quality projects to its clients and achieves agreed revenue margins. The VP is responsible to promote new business by participating in project bids and client presentations as appropriate. The VP is responsible to provide expertise and consultation to project teams. The VP is an experienced leader responsible for liaising with senior levels or management within the organization to continuously assess and improve operational project delivery. The VP participates in, champion or lead Parexel and department system/standards improvement activities or committees, task force groups as needed, including change management. Provide timely and insightful input back to other corporate functions, particularly marketing, product management, business development, proposal and contracts, and executive leadership

QualificationsSkills and Knowledge

Strong computing knowledge including but not limited to the Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS), Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), EDC, IWRS, and MS-Office products such as Excel and Word

• Advanced ability and demonstrated strength in managing Managers and leading diverse teams

• Advanced ability to successfully manage a full workload across multiple and varied projects/tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail

• Outstanding negotiation, influencing and organizational skills

• Demonstrable experience of stakeholder/relationship management with a client focused approach to work. Able to understand the business implications of decisions and impact on customer.

• Advanced ability to manage and motivate direct reports and wider team.

• Knowledge of the International pharmaceutical market and the services required by sales, marketing and operational support to achieve product success

• An ability to assess situations and make and carry through difficult decisions

• Broad therapeutic understanding

• Strong clinical process management, thinks like an engineer

Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in Life Science or eClinical companies; ideally with specific clinical operations experience

• Proven track record in delivering agreed results against a plan

Significant leadership experience in a global forum

• Proven ability to operate within a collaborative and multi discipline team environment

• Demonstrated strong business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to present clear and concise information.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, physical sciences, or related field.
