Overall management responsibility for the contract process for specific or varied accounts including coordination of Operations, Project Management, Legal, Business Development and Finance to prepare, review, and negotiate contractsMust understand concepts of inflationary increases, exchange rates, discounting percentages & blending of varying country pricesExtensive experience in programming complex budget calculations using ExcelSkilled in auditing lengthy budget calculations with the ability to program quality checks in ExcelAssumes leadership role in cross team communications related to achieving interim goals involving various functional teamsMust possess superior skills in building client relationships and communicating high pressure deadlinesServe as primary client contact during the negotiation phaseOn-going interface with clients regarding contractual issues during the lifetime of a projectCreate, negotiate and finalize budgets and contractual documents, including Start-up Agreements, Work Orders and Change OrdersDevelopment of account specific standards for contracts, including presentation of budget, payment terms, standard contract language, etc., and discussion/negotiation with client as appropriateOn-going proactive involvement with project management in review of project status, including review of contractual status to ensure compliance with contractual terms and milestones and identification of changes in scope in contractsCommunicate with and inform the FBP of ongoing budget changes and provide finance system load ready budget tools in accordance with relevant policies and proceduresEnsure information relating to contractual documents are processed into and maintained in relevant databasesCustomize Parexel templates to meet client template requirementsParticipate in the development and testing of tools and proceduresMay have some Line Management responsibilities, including:Performance management and staff developmentTraining / mentoringWorkflow managementQualificationsSkillsAbility to lead internal strategy meetingsLead negotiations with clientsDelegate work within Business OperationsMeet strict deadlinesWork both independently and as part of a teamConfident deal with all internal and external staff levelsExcellent negotiation skillsHighly organized with excellent oral and written communication skillsGood numeracy skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsEducationBachelors Degree in Life Science, Business or equivalent.
