We are seeking a Digital Pathology Intern for 2022 for our DSA Pathology Team. As a Digital Pathology Intern you will collaborate with the Global DSA Team, including DSA operations and pathology teams to produce a wide variety of deliverables focusing on developing machine learning-based decision support tools for pathologists. Your insightful contribution and fresh perspective will help develop and expand our digital pathology initiatives and assist you with acquiring machine learning and pathology skills and the knowledge of various digital/operational strategies.

The Digitization Intern will be responsible for:

•    Upload illustrative pathology content for machine learning methods development

•    Design, develop & document machine learning annotation methods 

•    Collaborate with computer scientists to train and test machine learning models

•    Design and implement machine learning model qualification methods 

•    Interview internal customers for workflow integration and testing 

•    Regular project updates to the AI core team Job Qualifications  

The following are the minimum requirements related to the Digital Pathology Intern position:

•    Student is currently enrolled as a sophomore or higher (or recent graduate) in an accredited college/university degree program (Undergrad or Graduate)

•    Ability to fulfill a 2 month internship

•    Classwork or work experience in veterinary histology, anatomy, or pathology

•    Experience with image analysis or machine learning methods

•    Effective communication and listening skills in a teamwork environment

•    Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects with a strong attention to detail

•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required

•    Creativity and ability to learn new technologies quickly and ability to work independently and be proactive is required
