Experience Designer II

IQVIA is the leading human data science company, providing clinical development, healthcare data and technology services to global healthcare and pharmaceutical companies. As a part of our rapid growth in the industry, we are expanding our capabilities to provide industry leading product design services and capabilities to our Digital Product Organization (DPO).

The provides design expertise and consulting support on the design of desktop, responsive, and mobile SaaS products within the Product Experience Design (PXD) team. In this role, you will serve as a designer for a product, working with other design team members, and will collaborate closely with the research, product, and engineering teams, as well as meeting with product teams to understand business requirements and user needs. This individual will own the design deliverables related to the roadmap, and are responsible for meeting with the Lead Experience Designer and Directors to align the product strategy as well as manage methods in the design process to create those deliverables. This position reports to the Assoc Director, Experience Design.

Core responsibilities:

· Collaborate with senior designers, product management and UX Research team to define and implement features on existing line of products

· Communicate ideas through user flows, wireframes and prototypes

· Execute on all design stages, from concept to visual design and specifications

· Follow and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

· Translate designs to style guides

· Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

· Focused on the experience, aesthetic, interaction, and functionality of a commercial website.

· Work independently, with peers, and with the UX Research team, to perform usability testing to understand mental models, user needs, and patterns of behavior to test assumptions and inform the design.

· Work collaboratively with lead designers and product owner to prioritize, design, and backlog design requests.

· Ensure consistency and adherence to the design system standards.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals

· A self-starter with the ability to prioritize and shift focus with ease and flexibility

· Help cultivate a collaborative environment.

Required Experience

· 2-4 years product design experience

· Ability to have an empathetic, human-centric approach to analysis, with working knowledge of usability and accessibility standards.

· Ability to understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research and design.

· Proven experience in working with products across the design process

· Outstanding portfolio that shows a variety of projects, creative processes, and final designs

· Proficiency with at least one visual design tool and one wireframing tool

· Experience in creating wireframes and prototypes

· Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies

· Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

· A strong desire and eagerness to be curious, inquisitive, and innovative.

· Fluent in English, writing and speaking

· A demonstrated portfolio of your work

Preferred Experience

· Experience in product design, delivering responsive and/or mobile customer-centric SaaS solutions

· Proficient in Figma

· Basic understanding of html, css, js

· Experience in product design, delivering responsive and/or mobile customer-centric SaaS solutions

· Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

· Experience working on the same product for several iterations

· Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, and/or healthcare industries

· Passionate and knowledgeable about all aspects of creative/design, brand-building, and the IQVIA brand

Education Required

· Bachelor's degree in HCI, design, design-related field

· 2-4+ years product design experience
