Senior Cloud Engineer

Our ever-expanding range of successful product lines includes BigData SaaS platforms, privacy engines, NLP engines and AutoML engines. In addition, the team curates the world’s largest collection of “Real-World Data” from actual patient care settings in 18 countries worldwide, encompassing clinical trial, genomics, electronic medical records, claims and pharmacy data. We are at the forefront of “Big Data” in healthcare and we work with clients to help them use complex, clinically rich patient-level healthcare datasets to answer their specific questions globally, make more informed decisions, and deliver results to solve healthcare’s biggest challenges, from accelerating clinical trials, to diagnosing patients with rare diseases. ABOUT THE ROLEWe are looking for a Cloud Engineer with experience in deploying, maintaining, and upgrading customer solutions on cloud environments using infrastructure-as-code languages. Specifically, we are searching for someone who brings fresh ideas, demonstrates a unique and informed viewpoint, and enjoys collaborating with a cross-functional team to develop real-world solutions while ensuring the platform’s high availability and reliability that our customers have come to expect.

In this role, you will be expected to:

• Utilize infrastructure-as-code to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
• Partner with Product Owners and Engineering teams to deliver new solutions, consult on system design and new features to meet client requirements while ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud services to identify and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
• Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications.
• Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions.
• Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs,
• Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large, distributed software applications.
• Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.
• Partner with QA & Test to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
• Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts.
• Develop and maintain documentation for customer solutions and operational procedures.

Your profileYour Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other highly technical, scientific discipline
• Ability to program with one or more high level languages, such as Python.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as ansible or terraform.
• Experience with cloud architecture environments (e.g.: AWS, Azure)
• Proficiency with cloud deployment frameworks such as Kubernetes.
• Experience with Unix based systems and environments.
• A team-based mentality that focuses on a group’s collective goals and objectives.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn and investigate independently when required.
• A proactive approach to identifying problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks.
• Proficiency in English
