Thermo Fisher Scientific designs, manufactures, and supports the broadest range of high-performance workflows for elemental and structural material characterization purposes that help our customers improve their process and innovate in multitude of applications and markets.

Keys to Success:
  • Own all sales account management responsibilities for our OES, XRF, XRD, PGNAA and automation solutions with a focus on industrial (cement, metals, mining) environmental testing and academic markets.
  • Prospect for new business, qualify sales leads, and generate a strong opportunity funnel. Continually advance opportunities to close business.
  • Develop territory business plan and update according to business and market changes. Provide accurate booking forecasts and reporting on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Prepare and deliver exciting, compelling, and focused technical presentations.
  • Confirm all system configurations, specifications and acceptance conditions are appropriate for closing orders.
  • Work collaboratively with other commercial team members to share market feedback and ensure full value is provided to customers.
  • Support product issues in the field by liaising with the service group and application engineers for solutions.

Education
  • Degree in sciences with profound knowledge in elemental and structural analysis.

Experience

This position is ideal for an experienced professional wanting to be involved with a dynamic team and exposed to a constant variety of customer application areas.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Bachelor or Master degree of Material Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or other technical/science degree
  • Background in Analytical Instrumentation, including XRF, XRD, OES and PGNAA, for material characterization and/or process control
  • An outgoing personality with strong communication skills with a diverse audience enabling closure of sales and solving issues
  • Able and willing to travel to customer locations
  • Systematic problem solving by working with customers and marketing/service teams
  • Presentation skills and crafting material for presentations to internal and external audiences
  • A strong sense of team spirit and cooperation within the CAD team
  • Self-starter, with an appetite for healthy competition
