Position Summary:

The Senior Quotation Specialist reports to the Sr. Manager, Global Quoting and Solutions and is responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of timely and accurate quote requests for EMEA.  The position will require the ability to master a detailed understanding of the Clinical Trial Division’s service offerings, and how they apply to new business opportunities and change orders.  This position works well under minimal direction, relies on experience, teamwork and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals, and will aid in the development of junior team members.  This position will focus primarily on our European business but will have responsibility for quotes regardless of location.

Responsibilities:

*Prepare quotes and proposals, from simple to the most complex (cell and gene therapies); including but not limited to storage, distribution, logistics, packaging, labeling, and ancillary procurement

*Interpret Request for Quotation form to build quotes in CPQ quotation software

*Attend calls with requestors, and as necessary, clients, to attain required information

*Identify services, materials, supplies, internal and external resources required to prepare quotes

*Perform administrative updates to Salesforce (or other systems) during the quotation process, and help to enforce master data management, compliance and governance

*Per approval authority matrix, coordinate and route quotes for financial approval

*Provide technical guidance to internal and external parties, including Sales, Client Services, Finance and Operations

*Train Quotation Specialists and other departments, as related to quotes; act as a mentor

*Assist with the effective implementation and hand-off of new projects

*Ensure all aspects of a new project are aligned with the approved quote/statement of work

*Participate in and contribute to Lessons Learned sessions for process improvements, RFP’s and quotes

*Assist in managing the Global Quotes inbox

*Seek opportunities to improve, streamline and re-invent work processes, pricing, and metrics

*Participate in special projects and other ad-hoc duties as required

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

*Education/Training – Accredited College or university degree is preferred, preferably in a health or life sciences related field.

*Business Experience – 3-5 Years General Business Experience, preferably in Proposal Development, Sales, Project Management, Operations or Contracts.

Knowledge/Skills:

*Basic understanding of clinical trials or pharmaceutical GMP preferred

*Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

*Ability to problem solve and seek out answers from appropriate personnel

*Flexibility and adaptability; need to be comfortable with ambiguity, working in an evolving environment with shifting priorities, and delivering to strict timelines.

*Proficiency in Microsoft™ Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

*Outstanding organizational and communication skills

*Knowledge of CRM Salesforce.com a plus 

*Ability to learn CPQ quotation software

*Comfortable with ‘virtual team’ concept, with colleagues working remotely across regions/countries

Working Conditions:

Remote with ability to report to local site (3-5 days quarterly)
