EHS Manager

Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific is currently seeking experienced and dedicated EHS Manager to join our team in Brno. As the EHS Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legislation and handling the EHS Management System. You will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement in our EHS processes.

What will you do:

• Handle the EHS Management System, ensuring compliance with legislation and ISO 14001.
• Complete safety and environmental reporting for authorities and maintain necessary permits for EHS compliance.
• Coordinate EHS-related external audits and inspections, including the annual OHS inspection.
• Provide responses on EHS issues to requests from authorities, customers, employees, suppliers, and insurance companies.
• Lead a team of EHS specialists at the Brno site.
• Collaborate with Brno and divisional group management to continuously improve the EHS management system

What we expect from you:

• Bachelor's degree in EHS subject areas and a confirmed experience in this field
• Health and safety certification (Czech national certification: OZO in BOZP)
• Shown results in improving EHS processes. Strong project management skills are important in the workplace
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001
• Excellent communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Good communication skills and be able to work effectively with cross functional teams on projects including international and multicultural teams and suppliers and customers.
• Proficient English - both in speech and writing.
• Must maintain a valid passport and travel regionally and internationally as required and be ready to adjust working time to accommodate communication needs with other regions. Must be willing to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Internal auditor 14001 compliance
• Experience with health and safety standards (e.g. ISO 45001)
• Advanced knowledge of MS Access and/or MS Excel
