We are seeking a Customer Care Engineer who will be instrumental in providing outstanding technical support to our customers. Your knowledge and skills will be pivotal in finding and implementing innovative resolutions to sophisticated engineering challenges. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various teams to successfully introduce our sophisticated products and ensure customer happiness.

Role Description (purpose of the role) –

  • Field Service Engineer to handle X-Ray fluorescence (XRF) Instrument, Optical Emission Spectrometer (OES) Instrument & Robotics Automation system.
  • Attend installation, maintenance, and break-down calls of customer.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer is satisfied with the performance of our instrument and the intended application is productive for customer. 
  • Develop a great outcome for everyone relation with customer and project Thermo Fisher as a valued partner. He should collaborate and supply to achieving Teams commercial goal.
  • Work closely with Sales Team / Supply Chain and Finance to happiness and problem resolution.
  • Participate in implementation of process improvement initiatives associated with customer centric service operation.
  • Maintain and update all vital records related to the customers for whom he is the primary engineer.
  • Guide customer in planning and maintaining optimum spare's stock.

Qualification

  • Candidate should be Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics / Instrumentation with minimum 75% marks in aggregate.
  • Candidate should have validated experience of 3 years in handling XRF, OES, Analytical instruments.

Responsibility:

  • To ensure we deliver premier experience to our customer by providing pro-active service support for our equipment and software.
  • Provide pre-installation, installation & warranty services.
  • Meet or exceed business commercial plan.  
  • Adopt Thermo Fisher culture & methodology to achieve all service critical metric.
  • Work with other functions like Sales, Supply Chain, Finance etc. and ensure we meet targeted organic growth for the business.

Skills:

  • Analyze and solving of XRF, OES and Robotic instruments and its supporting systems. Diagnose and fix the problem of the instrument.
  • Ability to plan and ensure timely execution of PM, BD and installations will be highly important to meet customer requirement as well as meet business revenue and booking targets.
  • He should have knowledge on the handling of high value critical electrical and instrumentation-based equipment’s.
  • The job demands touring and therefore ready to travel frequently.
  • Candidate should posses’ excellent skill to connect with customer in English both verbally as well as in writing.

Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of XRF, OES & Automation system is vital to handle and grow the business. Process knowledge of these sectors will be added advantage for the deserving candidate.
  • Knowledge & experience of component level fault finding, and repair will be added advantage.
  • Experience of handling Microsoft OS, both new & older versions.

Experience:

  • Working in Cement and Metal Industries.
  • Process knowledge of cement, Steel and Aluminum.
  • Planning and execution of installation and commissioning of high cost Proficiency in the latest computer hardware and software is essential
