QMS Associate II

Job Overview:

This position will be filled with an experienced individual who promotes and leads a quality driven culture across Covance Central Laboratory Services. The role involves working with stakeholders to progress the quality management system program and act as a consultant on all quality issues. This position also may lead and/or support departmental and/or company Special Projects/Initiatives. 

The individual must be a strong communicator, is able to work well with ambiguity, can develop training programs and materials, and can effect change where persuasion is required.  The individual will work extensively in Veeva, the Covance Quality System Management application, and will develop and analyze quality metrics output from Veeva.   Education/Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent experience, preferably in a life science or related discipline preferred 5 or more years of experience in central laboratory services, process improvement, root cause analysis, or in other quality/compliance roles

 Experience:Good Clinical Practices (GCP) College of American Pathologists (CAP) Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) Quality Management System (QMS) Process Improvement (Six Sigma or similar certifications) Proficiency in Outlook and Excel; able to easily adapt to new software applications
