これは、自閉症治療ネットワーク (ATN) の共同研究体制の一環として、自閉症スペクトラム障害 (ASD) の子供のメラトニン (MT) と睡眠障害との関係を研究する提案です。 ATN の主な目標は、ASD を持つ個人の日常生活と機能に大きな影響を与える臨床研究を実施し、親の差し迫った懸念に対処することです。 ASD の子供は高い割合で睡眠障害を経験しており、これが日中の認知機能障害や行動機能障害を悪化させ、子供とその家族の生活の質を低下させている可能性があります。
ASD の睡眠障害に対処するためのステップとして、ASD と睡眠障害のある子供は、通常のコントロールと比較して、24 時間にわたって MT の開始が遅れる、および/または MT の分泌が減少するという仮説を検証することを提案します。

説明
包含基準:
- 自閉症スペクトラム障害の診断; ADOS および ADI または SCQ (サブジェクト) によってサポートされています。
- 4歳以上または9歳以下の年齢;
- 両親はインフォームドコンセントを与えました。
- 親/介護者は英語の読み書きに堪能です。
- コントロールのみ: 親または医師が別の神経発達障害を懸念していない 10 未満の SCQ スコアを使用して、正常な子供を定義します。
除外基準:
- 向精神薬の現在の使用(例: フルオキセチン、メチルフェニデート、リスペリドン、リチウムなど)*;
- ベータ遮断薬またはメラトニンの現在または過去1か月以内の使用;
- 睡眠補助剤の現在の使用;
- 他の方法で睡眠の問題を説明できる未治療の医学的問題の存在 (例: 閉塞性睡眠時無呼吸、胃食道逆流症 - GERD);
- 失明。
コントロールのみ:ADHD、うつ病、不安症、またはその他の精神医学的状態の現在または過去の診断。 (7) コントロールのみ: 兄弟姉妹が自閉症スペクトラム障害の診断を受けている。
