이 연구는 프라바스타틴이 콜레스테롤 수치와 염증 지표를 낮추고 인지 능력을 향상시키는 효과를 조사하기 위해 조현병 환자에게 연속 12주 동안 매일 프라바스타틴 40mg을 투여하는 12주 무작위, 이중 맹검, 위약 대조 파일럿 연구입니다.
이 연구는 Freedom Trail Clinic에서 수행되며 Massachusetts General Hospital Clinical Research Center를 사용할 것입니다.

- 정신분열증, 모든 하위 유형, 분열정동 장애, 모든 하위 유형 또는 정신분열형 장애의 진단
- 항정신병 약물을 포함한 외래 환자 약물에 대한 잘 확립된 순응도
제외 기준:
- 정보에 입각한 동의를 제공할 수 없음
- 현재 약물 및 알코올 남용
- 울혈성 심부전, 중증 심혈관 질환, 신장 질환(혈청 크레아티닌 > 1.5), 중증 간 장애 또는 활동성 간 질환, 빈혈(헤모글로빈 <11.0 gm/dL), 심각한 두부 손상 이력 및 치료되지 않은 근육을 포함한 중대한 의학적 질병 질병.

- 임신 중이거나 모유 수유 중이거나 전체 연구 기간 동안 효과적인 형태의 피임법을 사용할 의사가 없거나 사용할 수 없는 가임 여성
