この研究は、統合失調症の被験者にプラバスタチン 40 mg を 12 週間連続して投与して、コレステロール値と炎症マーカーの低下、および認知の改善に対するプラバスタチンの効果を調べる、12 週間の無作為二重盲検プラセボ対照パイロット研究です。
研究はフリーダム トレイル クリニックで実施され、マサチューセッツ総合病院臨床研究センターを使用します。
プラバスタチンを使用してコレステロール値を低下させるだけでなく、統合失調症患者の炎症を軽減し、認知を改善するという革新的なアプローチは有望であり、この集団の治療への異なるアプローチにつながる可能性があります.

- 統合失調症、任意のサブタイプ、統合失調感情障害、任意のサブタイプまたは統合失調症様障害の診断
- -抗精神病薬を含む外来薬の十分に確立されたコンプライアンス
除外基準:
- インフォームドコンセントを提供できない
- 現在の物質およびアルコール乱用
- -うっ血性心不全、重度の心血管疾患、腎疾患(血清クレアチニン> 1.5)、重度の肝障害または活動性肝疾患、貧血(ヘモグロビン<11.0 gm / dL)、重度の頭部外傷の病歴、および未治療の筋肉を含む重大な医学的疾患疾患。
- 精神的に不安定
- -妊娠中、授乳中、または研究全体を通して効果的な避妊法を使用したくない、または使用できない、出産の可能性のある女性
