PLWSCI에서 고용을 안내하는 다학제적 모델
남아프리카에서 척수 손상을 안고 사는 사람들의 고용 결과를 안내하기 위한 다학제적 모델의 개발.
척수 손상은 종종 상지 및 하지 기능의 전체적 또는 부분적 손실을 초래하여 영향을 받은 개인이 일상 생활 활동을 수행하는 데 어려움을 겪게 합니다. 그 결과 사회, 종교, 오락 및 경제 활동(고용)에 대한 참여가 감소합니다. 전 세계적으로 PLWSCI의 고용률은 낮습니다(11-67%). 남아공 통계청에 따르면 남아공에서는 장애인 실업률이 25.2%로 추정됩니다. 그러나 남아공의 PLWSCI에서 취업에 관한 정보는 없습니다.
또한 남아공의 척수손상 관련 지식이 부족하여 모델을 개발하고 구현할 수 없습니다. 현재 SCI 재활 관행에 관한 데이터(직업 재활에 대한 특정 참조 포함) 고용 상태 및 요인(개인 및 환경 모두) PLWSCI 사이의 고용 장벽 및 촉진자는 제한적입니다. 이 정보는 남아공에서 SCI를 가진 개인을 위한 업무 복귀 모델을 개발하는 데 필요합니다.
남아공에는 직장에서 장애인의 고용과 지원을 촉진하는 다음과 같은 법적 체계가 존재합니다. 남아공 헌법, 1996; 고용평등법(EEA), 1998; 평등 증진 및 불공정 차별 방지법(PEPUDA), 2000; 노동관계법(LRA), 1995; 기술 개발법(SDA), 1998; 공직법(PSA), 1994; 기본 고용법(BCEA), 1997 및 통합 국가 장애 전략(2000). 그러나 재활 기관에서 제공되는 재활 개입은 주로 의료적이며 SCI 환자가 유급 고용으로 돌아갈 수 있도록 준비하려는 시도가 제한적입니다. 따라서 남아프리카에서 PLWSCI의 고용을 촉진할 잘 조정된 다부문, 다학문 및 다요인 재활 개입이 필요합니다.

이것은 연구의 다양한 단계에서 혼합 방법이 사용되는 단면 연구입니다. 혼합 방법은 단일 연구에서 정량적 데이터와 정성적 데이터를 모두 수집하고 분석하는 것입니다. 데이터는 동시에 또는 순차적으로 수집되며 연구 과정 중 하나 이상의 단계에서 통합됩니다. 이 연구는 목표에 답하기 위해 단계가 있는 3단계로 나누어질 것이다.
이 연구의 1단계는 연구의 목적 1-3에 대한 답변을 시도할 것입니다. 1단계에는 PLWSCI 중에서 가장 효과적인 직업 재활 개입을 식별하기 위한 체계적인 문헌 검토가 포함됩니다. 2단계에서는 의료 파일을 후향적으로 분석하여 직업 재활 관행의 격차를 식별할 목적으로 남아공에서 SCI를 유지하는 개인에게 제공되는 재활 서비스를 결정할 것입니다. 이 단계는 PLWSCI(3단계)에 제공되는 현재 직업 재활 관행을 추가로 탐색하기 위해 포커스 그룹에 의해 마무리됩니다.
2단계는 목표 4-5에 답할 것입니다. 이 단계의 1단계에서는 고용 상태와 PLWSCI의 고용에 영향을 미치는 요인을 결정합니다. 2단계에서는 PLWSCI 간의 고용 장벽과 촉진 요인을 결정할 것입니다. 1~2단계에서 얻은 결과는 연구자가 제안 모델을 개발하는 데 활용할 것입니다.
마지막 단계는 모델을 개발, 검증 및 개선하는 것을 목표로 합니다. 이 단계의 1단계에는 제안된 모델을 개발하기 위해 이전 단계에서 얻은 정보를 사용하는 연구원이 포함됩니다. 두 번째 단계에는 제안된 모델의 내용을 검증하기 위한 포커스 그룹이 포함됩니다. 마지막 단계에는 제안된 모델의 구조와 내용에 대해 이해 관계자 간의 합의를 도출하고 이후에 이를 개선하는 것이 포함됩니다.

포함 기준:
• SCI를 유지하고 사회 봉사 이후 1년 이상의 근무 경험이 있는 개인의 관리에 직접 관여하는 재활 전문가.
제외 기준:
• 척수손상 환자의 관리에 직접 관여하지 않고 사회 봉사 후 근무 경력이 1년 미만인 재활 전문가.
2단계:
포함 기준:
• 척추에 부상을 입어 영구적인 신경학적 손상(완전 또는 불완전)을 초래하고 농촌, 도시 근교 및 도시에 거주해야 하는 사람.
제외 기준
• 말로 소통할 수 없는 척수 손상을 입은 사람들
3단계 포함 기준
- PLWSCI 농촌, 도시 근교 및 도시에 거주하는 사람에 대한 부상.
- SCI를 유지하고 사회 봉사 후 2년 이상의 경험을 가진 개인의 관리에 직접 관여하는 재활 전문가.
- 민간 및 공공 부문 모두에서 감독 및 관리 능력을 갖춘 풀타임 직원으로 현재 PLWSCI에 해당하는 부하 직원이 있습니다.
- LOA 회원인 보험 회사의 장애과 대표.
제외 기준
- 말로 소통할 수 없는 PLWSCI.
- SCI를 유지하고 사회 봉사 후 경험이 2년 미만인 개인의 관리에 직접 관여하지 않는 재활 전문가.
- 감독 또는 관리직이 아닌 파트타임으로 근무하며 PLWSCI에 해당하는 부하 직원이 없는 개인.
