To jest nierandomizowane, nieinterwencyjne badanie, które stanowi część inicjatywy Randomized Controlled Trials Duplicated Using Prospective Longitudinal Insurance Claims: Applying Techniques of Epidemiology (RCT-DUPLICATE) (www.rctduplicate.org) Szpitala Brigham and Women's, Harvard Medical School. Aby odpowiedzieć na to pytanie, to badanie porównawczej skuteczności, wykorzystujące ramy emulacji badania docelowego, oceni terapie inkretynowe dulaglutyd, semaglutyd i tirzepatyd w porównaniu z sitagliptyną (używaną jako aktywny komparator-proxy placebo) pod kątem głównych niekorzystnych zdarzeń sercowo-naczyniowych (MACE) u osób z cukrzycą typu 2 (T2DM) i nadwagą, z lub bez ASCVD.
