How you will make an impact

Are you’re looking for a great opportunity within the planning area, supporting the production team with robust planning processes? We are currently on the lookout for an ambitious manager for our planning department. By applying your planning-, analytical and people skills you will have a significant impact of the journey Allergon and IDD is on.

The Planning Manager is an important member of the Technical Operations Leadership team, being responsible for the planning function and the inventory management of the site, reporting to the Sr Manager, Operations.

This is a varied role where you as the manager will be involved in planning process development, leading your team, structuring and managing inventory levels and clearly communicate progress to the site management team and stakeholders within the division.

What you will do

  • Lead the site planning and scheduling for finished goods and raw materials using MRP and other planning tools.

  • Create, review and distribute manufacturing schedules.

  • Evaluate and implement expedited requests.

  • Be able to present key departmental metrics to Supply Chain

  • Lead departmental support to meet site inventory and back-order targets.

  • Lead and participate in long range capacity planning analysis for manufacturing work centres.

  • Manage site inventory for all SKUs, including levels, safety stocks, shelf life and aged/obsolescence.

  • Represent Supply Chain via the Technical Operations Leadership Team in discussions to optimize output for the site.

  • Improve planning processes in collaboration with the divisions Supply Chain department.

What do you need?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field, or relevant experience in lieu of a degree

  • Supply Chain academy degree will be seen as a merit.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in leading Production, Planning and Operations related activities, 5 years+ experience preferred

  • ERP system (SAP) experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficient in capacity planning, production levelling and identifying and managing production constraints

  • Understanding of MPS and MRP processes

  • Strong Excel, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to develop and provide reports to satisfy ongoing inquires on inventory, capacity, and product availability.

  • Management experience working with strategic plans and talent development.
