Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Marketing expert in specialty diagnostics to elevate their career and join an established Marketing team. You would own the Specialty Diagnostic Group’s (SDG) marketing strategy, with a focus on Microbiology, Clinical Diagnostics and Transplant Diagnostics across Australia and New Zealand. Bringing your expertise to collaborate with the business unit and wider commercial organisation to craft the future of SDG marketing.

This role brings to life the SDG strategies inline with our brand story, as we showcase that we are on a mission to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer; through innovation, workflows and partnerships.

Apply your scientific experience and exposure in the lab to craft compelling campaigns that resonate with the customer and showcase our solutions. Success will be achieved through a mixture of kicking goals and being able to showcase the efforts using data insights.

Key Responsibilities: 

Jump straight into the implementation of the 2024 SDG marketing plan by bringing to life an exciting program of work that covers various aspects of each portfolio area.

  • Developing marketing collateral, campaign assets, and traditional and digital marketing content to drive customer engagement and lead generation. With your passion in the specialty diagnostic space you’ll be able to make this your own!

We are big on partnership and living and breathing one Thermo Fisher. We'll work closely with product managers, ANZ sales teams, global counterparts, and the marketing operations team to integrate new product launches, workflows and innovation into comprehensive customer solutions.

Of course, showcasing return on investment plays a key part in measuring the success, and we are looking for an expert in campaign analysis to bring core partners along for the ride! We also handle our own budgets to drive positive outcomes for each portfolio.

With a background in the diagnostics or microbiology space paired with excellent marketing skills, you will be integral in helping to mentor team members. Assist them with their marketing literacy to build relevant and meaningful marketing campaigns that deliver growth.

We'd love you to apply if you have:

  • A tertiary qualification in a scientific field
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a marketing role within the clinical, quality control, or food dairy beverage industry.
  • Experience with TGA and working with regulatory teams is preferred, as well as familiarity with Salesforce.
