Job Description
Performs laboratory procedures such as blood harvesting and urine monitoring according to protocol as assigned as well as any special procedures. Works with coordinators in assuring the smooth and orderly flow of procedures in the Clinics, Lab and Urine Monitoring areas.

• Collects and harvests plasma, serum, and all other required laboratory specimens according to protocol specifications.• Monitors the collection of urine and/or fecal specimens from subjects participating in studies.• Performs advanced technical procedures including platelet aggregation, PBMC, flow & chip cytometry, and any other special procedures.• Completes all required study documents and may train on special equipment per protocol.• Assures that all procedures and processing areas are maintained in a neat, clean, and organized manner.• Performs other duties as assigned. Serves as a mentor and trainer to new technicians.

High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification 0-1 yr experience

•Phlebotomy

Detail oriented• Strong time management skills• Ability to multi-task• General computer skills including Microsoft Office• Written and verbal communication skills• Ability to work under constant exposure to high pressure, intense concentration• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment

• Knowledge of lab instrumentation and testing procedures

• Work is performed in a clinical environment.• Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms.
