Job Description

This role supports PSI’s legal needs in Georgia with a primary focus on contracts related to clinical research. As an Associate Legal Counsel you will work closely with PSI’s global legal team as well as with local and international project teams to determine appropriate terms and conditions of contracts and to provide legal advice and support.

Office based position. Location: Tbilisi.

Your role will include:

  • Review, draft and negotiate contracts and other legal documents relating to clinical research.
  • Adapt company contract templates to the requirements of clients, hospitals, investigators, medical specialists and vendors.
  • Prepare, drafts and reviews corporate documents.
  • Provides advice and support on compliance with clinical research legislation, company law, employment law, data protection and other legislation.
  • Drafts, reviews, and updates PSI policies, procedures and instructions relating to legal matters and supports their implementation.
  • Supports compliance with PSI policies, procedures, and instructions relating to legal matters.
  • Provides training to other PSI departments.
  • Researches, and analyses various legal matters.

Qualifications

  • Law degree, with sound knowledge of contract and corporate law
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an international commercial legal practice (law firm or in-house position), ideally with exposure to the pharmaceutical or IT sector
  • Good knowledge of commercial, corporate and contract law, as well as other relevant legislation (e.g. data protection, labor law)
  • Good legal contract drafting skill
  • Good communication and negotiations skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work accurately with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently but also within a team
  • Proficiency in English, oral and written
  • Proficiency in MS Word, intermediate proficiency in other standard MS Office applications; proficient user of in-house applications
