Job Description

If you are a qualified enthusiastic legal professional, you may be the expert we are looking for to join our dynamic team in São Paulo, Brazil. As a Junior Legal Counsel you will review and negotiate clinical trial agreements in close cooperation with the project teams and provide legal advice on corporate matters.

Hybrid position in Brazil.

Your role will include:

  • Reviews, drafts, and negotiates contracts and other legal documents in Portuguese, English and Spanish, including in particular, clinical trial agreements.
  • May interact directly with PSI’s clients and other business partners regarding various legal matters, as needed.
  • Identifies, researches, and analyzes various legal aspects and questions and assessing their impact on PSI's businesses.
  • Provides legal advice and support on labour law, real estate and other corporate legal matters.
  • Supports and ensures compliance with existing PSI policies, procedures, and instructions relating to legal matters.
  • Provides support and/or training within the Legal Department and/or cross-functionally to other PSI departments.
  • Assists in any other legal or administrative matters as requested.

Qualifications

  • Law degree, with sound knowledge of contract and corporate law
  • Fluency in English, Portuguese and Spanish oral and written
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to clinical trials, including ICH GCP
  • Knowledge of commercial, corporate and contract law, as well as other relevant legislation (e.g. data protection, labor law)
  • 1-2 years of experience at a law firm or in-house position, ideally with international exposure; experience in contract drafting and negotiations is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, in particular MS Word
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently but also within a team
  • Pragmatic approach with a strong drive on delivering quality results
